The passage of time creates strong connections between our sense of self and the objects we engage with. This connection furthers our sentiment with them — finding beauty in new scratches, markings, and shapes that reflect our lives. A concept that sharply contrasts today’s themes of seasonality, newness, and exaggerated ornamentation, Utilitarian Living represents a stripped-back aesthetic that’s true to human nature.
